ANNOUCEMENT: Agent Christina Hogrebe to join Pages & Places’ Forums on Writing and Publishing

Ms. Hogrebe is a native of Northeastern Pennsylvania who grew up on a steady diet of Anne of Green Gables and Sweet Valley Twins books, for which she was nearly laughed out of the English department at Franklin & Marshall College and, later, the University of Denver Publishing Institute, who graduated her anyway.

Inspired by her favorite chick lit heroines, she left the wilds of PA in search of dirty martinis and adventure, landing on the doorstep of Jane Rotrosen Agency, who, sensing a kindred spirit, hired her as one of publishing’s many over-eager assistants in 2003. Christina annoyed mentor Meg Ruley with reader’s reports until they promoted her to agent soon thereafter. She continues to pursue “three-hanky-” and “read-with-the-lights-on” reads and is accepting published and unpublished clients.

She will join Pages & Places conversations on the craft of writing and offer insights on navigating the publishing industry.  Her forum, designed for writers, aspiring writers, and anyone who wants to know more about how to become (and stay) an author, will replace Jean McGarry’s discussion on The Art and Craft of Fiction, scheduled for 11:00am.

All workshops are $5 each and will be held at Farley’s Restaurant (300 Adams Avenue on the corner of Linden Street and Adams Avenue) on Courthouse Square from 9:00am-4:00pm. Please visit our ticket sales page to purchase your tickets.
