Elizabeth Randol, Ph.D.
Liz originally hails from Cleveland but Scranton has become her new home over the past ten years. She began her career at The University of Scranton as the director of the campus Women’s Center and faculty in the Department of Philosophy. She left higher education for politics when appointed as the Chief of Staff for Lackawanna County. She recently served as Policy Director for Pennsylvania Treasurer Rob McCord before accepting her current position as campaign manager for Kathleen Kane, candidate for PA Attorney General. She serves in several community volunteer capacities while keeping Pages & Places as her primary passion.

Bill Black, MFA
Bill grew up a stone’s throw from Scranton before leaving for college. Since then he has earned an MFA in creative writing, published fiction, nonfiction, and book reviews in some of the nation’s leading literary journals, and taught literature and creative writing at several universities, including Western Washington University and Ohio University, before joining the Creative Writing faculty at The Johns Hopkins University. His love for cities, and for Scranton’s revival, has brought him back to the area.
